Vanessa found her jewelry supplies!

Just before leaving Texas in September 2015, I finally unearthed my jewelry-making supplies.  Thank goodness! Hopefully Mom and I will be back to making some new creations soon with our beads!

Might not be making any jewelry, but...

I am sure wearing it everyday!  Working in a professional capacity means I like to wear my watch, wedding ring, and at least a necklace.  Sometimes a bracelet, too, if the outfit & occasion warrants.  I don't even know which boxes my jewelry stuff is hiding in and Mom has most of the beads we planned to work with.  Too bad she doesn't live in Texas!!!

Some recent creations

We went to a bead club meeting at the Craft Warehouse in Salem.  The challenge was to create something from a metal butterfly and a string of faux pearls.

I like how they turned out!  It was a lot of fun to choose beads and crystals to go with the butterfly and pearls.

At the meeting, the instructor demoed a technique from the book "Spotlight on Wire:  Twist, fold, hammer, weave, wrap" by Melissa Cable.  We bought the book and tried making "Clustered Jewels" at home, page 10.  There are a lot of great ideas and techniques in this book.  Great if you want to try out wire wrapping or working with thin sheets of metal.

Some older creations

Here are three necklace and earring sets we made back in August 2011.  They were so much fun to make and the color combinations are some of my favorites.
